Jennifer Weiss Ruell is a graduate of The Natural Gourmet Institute in NYC (now part of I.C.E.), and also studied Ayurvedic Nutrition with Dr. Naina Marballi, completing an 8 month holistic health practitioner program accredited by the AADP. She interned at Tenth Avenue Cookshop in NYC and then broadened her skills at The DeBruce in Livingston Manor, North Branch Inn, and YO1, focusing again on Ayurvedic-inspired, vegetarian, plant-based cooking. She has cooked for private families in Manhattan, and more recently upstate.
Motivated by health supportive, nutrient-dense cooking, Jen lives upstate where she is inspired by farmers and foraging, and can find the freshest local, seasonal ingredients.
